From the moment I saw the first rail car, I knew there was going to be a black and white project coming out of this. The subject matter and the setting was perfect. The problem is, I'm nor real happy how these turned out. At some point, I'm going to have to come back to this project and re-process these images in another way, and I'll likely do away with the white vignette that I added to these.
There weren't many cars, but the ones I did find lent themselves well to this. One of the things I was after was to photograph the actual hardware on these things, but, since my son was with me on this trip, and his attention span when it comes to photography was nil, I had to leave it for another time.
